As on 13th July, Nothing company, has launched its first of its kind smartphone named as Nothing phone 1 in India. It is interesting to know that Nothing is a new venture of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pie. We bring everything here, you need to know about the Nothing phone.
First look of Nothing Phone 1 reveals key design elements
The smartphone is available in two colours – white and black. It contains a unique semi-transparent design, which is a wonder of innovation. Whereas the users get tired with the same designing the other smartphones provided, Nothing phone 1 has proved that innovation has not left the planet yet. The phone has dual stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, IP53 certification & NFC support.
It also has a Glyph Interface which comprises of multiple white LED strips at the back, which lightens up every time to show user notifications, charging information and also help in caller identification when the phone is in silent phase.
Nothing phone 1 – Full phone specifications
It has a 6.55-inch FHD+, 10-bit OLED display panel. The panel is protected by the Gorilla Glass protection. It does have a HDR10+ support, 402ppi pixel density and 1200 nits brightness.
The 5G phone comes up with a dual camera at the back comprising of 50 MP f/1.88 Sony IMX766 1/1.56” main sensor with OIS and a 50 MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1/2.76” ultrawide sensor with a 114-degree view and 16 MP Sony IMX 471 front camera respectively. Also, the camera offers macro and pro options in setting, can record upto 4k video at 30fps. the smartphone is fueled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+chipset. It is a regular snapdragon 778 but added with extra capabilities like- support wireless charging and reverse charging.
The battery is of 4,500 mAh support 15 W wireless charging in approx. 120 minutes and wired charging 33W approx. in 70 minutes. Addition to this, the Android is available in three variants regarding the RAM and Storage capability-
1. 128GB, 8GB RAM.
2. 256GB, 8GB RAM.
3. 256GB, 12GB RAM.
Nothing Phone 1 Release Date, Price
It is launched on 13 of July, and will be on open sale from 21 July. However, users who made pre-orders can get the phone right away. In India, Nothing phone starts at a price of Rs.32,999 at Flipkart and ranging upto Rs.38,999 as per the RAM and Storage differentiation.
But on the other side, Nothing phone 1 has an inaugural discount on all three variants.
The Android is available at Rs. 29,999 for the 128GB/8GB RAM. At Rs. 32,999 for the 256GB/8GB RAM and at Rs. 35,999 for the 256GB/12GB RAM (including the HDFC bank offer).

It does not come up with certain accessories in the box along with phone. 45W charging adaptor, a transparent TPU case and a tempered glass screen protector is to be bought by the user separately from Flipkart. The charger is priced at Rs. 2,499 and the tempered glass is available at Rs.999 respectively. If you are ready to spend extra penny, then Nothing is certainly made for you.
Likewise, OnePlus- there is high expectations with the new Nothing model unveiled recently. OnePlus made the history by giving a tough competition to iPhone and Samsung community. Now, it would be a matter of immense pleasure to see Nothing to establish its place in market and maintaining the Aura, Carl Pie has built on over the years as being the guardian of OnePlus.
