Top 10 Ecotourism Destinations – Over the forthcoming years, we’re likely going to become the evidence of ecotourism more and more. The International Ecotourism Society exposes it as ‘sustainable travel to natural reserves that is responsible for conserving the environment, endures the well-being of the local people, and promotes the interpretation and education.

Initially, to understand the term ‘Ecotourism’, we need to understand the word ‘Tourism’ which refers to traveling, relaxation, fun, and the process of spending time away from home with the commercial provision of services. Identically, the term ‘Ecotourism’ refers to a form of tourism that is purposed to preserve nature, conferring economic benefits and keeping alive the cultural probity of the local community.

In this way, besides having fun we can also preserve nature as well as aid in the economic condition of the local community.

Some of the places are described below where we can make a positive and productive impact on the environment and the local communities.

1. Komodo National Park (Indonesia)

By traveling the Komodo National Park travelers can have adventurous exploration of Indonesia. Indonesia is a popular tourist place where Australian tourists are destined to explore. This is an affordable destination and is stunning because of the natural beauty around this place.

This national park also includes three sizable islands: Komodo, Rinca, and Padar. Komodo is also a habitat for Komodo dragons and other species of land animals.

3. Great Barrier Reef (Australia)

The eco-tourism of Australia signifies the whole country. This eco-tourist place is destined by many people.

The Great Barrier Reef is covered with a coastline that is about 2,300- kilometers long in northern Queensland. It is also known as the world’s largest coral reef system with over 2,900 individual coral reefs and more than 150 species of underwater animals.

4. Amazon Rainforest (Brazil)

Although, the Amazon is surviving through the success of ecotourism yet because the Amazon tolerated the highest rates of deforestation in 2021. Regardless of increasing awareness of climate change, deforestation is still taking place in the Amazon.

6. Jeju Island National Park (South Korea)

The next ecotourism destination that are now going to describe is Jeju National Park. The first and most popular nature reserve in South Korea. 9. Kinabalu National Park (Malaysia) 

Recognized by UNESCO in December 2000 for its “outstanding universal value” and significance as one of the most significant biological places on Earth, Kinabalu National Park is the first World Heritage Site in Malaysia. This is the home to various planets, animals, and species. Countably, there are more than 4,500 types of plants and animals can be found in the national park, including 326 bird species, roughly 100 mammal species, and more than 110 land snail species.

10. Way Kambas National Park (Indonesia)

CONCLUSION

Traveling is fantastic! All of us enjoy taking flights, seeing different countries, and finding undiscovered treasures. However, each of these things is making our planet more and more unstable. While there is no way to prohibit travel entirely, we may make conscious decisions to lessen the damage our travel has on the environment.

The reason ecotourism matters is that it raises awareness of this. It inspires people to learn about and protect our varied ecosystems, fauna, and cultural traditions.
